Our Firm has successfully represented several major corporations in disputes related to protection of Intellectual Property and assisted in registering the trademarks, logos and trade names in Hungary and abroad. We have negotiated and prepared several licence agreements for know-how, copyright, software and sui generis protected works. Our lawyers have successfully represented a client in a case when a competitor internet service provider regularly copied and illegally used the commercial contents of our clients’ website and commercial database. Our Firm was responsible for the legal due diligence of the archive of the television programs made 50 years ago, including the clearing up of the legal status of these programs and their right holders. One of our Partners, Dr Andrea Lindner is member of the Council of Copyright Experts.
Our Firm is experienced in e-commerce issues, internet data base protection processes, and website content-related issues. We have acted in cases in connection with domain name registration and protection. We take into consideration the fair competition and consumer protection legislation. Furthermore, we achieved deletion of several domains that infringed our clients’ IP rights. We have successfully assisted an international service provider in launching their e-commerce business in Hungary with preparing terms and conditions, subscription agreements and other commercial contracts for its electronic trading activities.
